Transition to Gateway Pass (SSO)

August 9, 2017

In preparation for the 2017–2018 school year, TEA will launch Gateway Pass, a single sign-on (SSO) solution for all Texas Gateway applications. With Gateway Pass, teachers will be able to access all applications through a single account. Gateway applications include the Texas Gateway for Online Resources, Gateway Courses, and the Texas CTE Resource Center.

All current applications will transition to Gateway Pass for user registration and login by mid-August. Upon transition to SSO, current users with accounts in both the Texas Gateway and Gateway Courses  will need to activate their Gateway Pass accounts and reset passwords. Each account holder will receive an email containing an activation link and instructions for confirming his or her account and setting a new password. This activation process will only need to be completed once and is essential for ensuring account security during the move to a new system for authentication. Learn more here.

This transition to SSO is an exciting first step in making access to resources and applications as simple as possible for Texas teachers. Districts can also look forward to additional enhancements this fall, including SSO integration with ClassLink and Clever, the launch of new statewide applications, and new features for district bulk account and roster creation.
